Vermont PLT, an award-winning conservation education curriculum for students in pre-Kindergarten through grade twelve is getting a fresh start in Vermont. We want your help in creating a new plan for this important conservation education program. Our goal is to give Vermont students the knowledge and skills to become responsible, productive, and participatory members of society. We are seeking additional steering committee members. You will join representatives from the forest products industry, conservation organizations, teachers, and others. We are seeking to expand the interests and talents currently on the committee. We want your expertise in helping forge the future for PLT in Vermont. We are meeting March 27 12:30-3:30 in Berlin and would love to have you join. The VT PLT Steering Committee meets twice yearly, in spring and fall. Additional responsibilities for board members include: Marketing and promoting the PLT program, supporting funding initiatives, identifying and reaching out to underserved audiences, recognizing and supporting facilitators, and being an advocate for environmental and forestry education in Vermont. Please join us and add your fresh ideas and unique perspectives.
